Here's an introduction to one of the games we play during the course, Minecraft.
We're going to use Minecraft during the course for building projects. As you might (or might not) know, Minecraft is all about building using lego-like blocks. The blocks are harvested or mined from the world, so to build something, you need to gather the materials first. However, what we're going to build is up to you, the players. The projects will be selected by you, from suggestions that you're going to make.
Additionally, in this blog, you will report your progress for example with videos, pictures and written reports, it's up to you! Also, the planning and decision making will take place in the blog.
If you're not familiar with the game yet, don't worry! We'll be going through the basics during the first lesson. Meanwhile, grab a headset, sit back and check out the following introduction video to get in the mood:

ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you'll get to the real server when we open it in about week. Not all of you have played Minecraft since earliest alpha, and that's why we give them the opportunity to learn the basics as well. So this week, tutorial world will remain online.
